When you were a kid did you just lay back on the grass look up at the Sky and dream where life may take you? And here we are – all grown up – where conscious, unconscious, or fate has taken us. Is it the life we dreamed of, is this all there is?
It’s time we started daydreaming again..
Spend a few minutes before you raise out of bed in the morning , say a word of gratitude for the day, thank the bed for its comfort overnight, and spend a few more minutes just daydreaming about the wonderful things you want next in your life. Really feel your way into it.
If you get distracted with body discomfort, or anxiety about the day ahead, just quietly put those thoughts to the side and focus on the beautiful day dream. Let your mind enjoy the bliss of the day dream.
Now I am not normally a good morning person but I have been doing this “day dreaming” for some months now and it has made such a difference to my morning routine. I even put some soothing music on and I have a poster with my “daydreams” “bucket list” on it and I open my eyes in the morning and focus on it and then close my eyes and dream and feel what my life is like when those things are in it. I end up feeling happier now and start my day on a positive note..
